Easy Moss Stitch Raglan Knit Sweater Free Pattern + Tutorial | Mountain Time Pullover
The Mountain Time Pullover is a top-down raglan with moss stitch, creating a fabulous texture in a timeless sweater design. Its top-down construction allows you to customize the armhole depth and arm and body length as you go. The chunky yarn and larger needles make it a quick project. This raglan sweater has no neckline shaping, no body shaping, and no armhole decreases until the cuff – it’s meant to be an easy knit but feel free to customize the sweater to your liking.

Size Guide + Finished Measurements
Sizes written in 1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) with a finished bust size of 35.5 (38.5, 42, 45.5, 49, 52, 55.5, 59) in/90 (98.5, 107, 115.5, 124, 132.5, 141, 150) cm. The sweater is intended to have about 4-8 in/10-20.5 cm of positive ease so pick a size that will provide the intended ease or adjust to your desired ease. For example, if you have a 36 in/91.5 cm bust, a size 3 would be ideal for about 6 in/15 cm of ease. Feel free to adjust body length and armhole depth as desired.
Yarn
Approximately 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8) skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (106 yds/97 m per 6 oz/170 g skein; 80% acrylic, 20% wool ) or any other super bulky weight yarn that meets gauge. Color shown is Thaw.
Needles
10mm (US15) in the following lengths:
16 in/40 cm or DPNs (for sleeves)
24 in/60 cm (for yoke)
32 in/80 cm (for yoke and body)
9mm (US13) in the following lengths:
16 in/40 cm or DPNs (for sleeve cuffs)
24 in/60 cm (for collar)
Or knitting needles needed to obtain correct gauge.
Please note that I use 10mm (US 15) knitting needles throughout the entire sweater in my video tutorial except for the collar and don’t switch to 9mm (US 13) for any ribbing. I keep my videos beginner-friendly so I maintain needle size and I tend to rib tightly. Feel free to follow along with the video or go down a needle size for the ribbing on the sleeve cuffs and body.
